ALCOHOL AND BEVERAGE LICENSE FLAT RATE FEE - THE TAX YEAR 2021

Due to the economic impact of COVID‐19 on your industry, Commissioner Kellam sent a letter on December 30, 2020, to the Mayor and City Council suggesting a suspension of the flat rate alcoholic beverage license(s) for the 2021
license year. Councilman Tower sponsored the ordinance; the City Council unanimously approved it on Tuesday, February 2, 2021.

If you have not renewed your business license for the 2021 license year, do not include payment for the flat rate alcoholic beverage license with your renewal payment. Please understand, you still must include the alcohol sales in your gross receipts and meals tax filing; this is a waiver for the flat rate alcohol license only.
