The Community Organization Grant (COG) program provides an opportunity for qualified non-profit organizations that deliver services to Virginia Beach citizens to receive funding from the city. The City Council appointed COG Review and Allocation Committee evaluates applications and determines how best to allocate funds among the organizations. Financial and service delivery reports are submitted by recipient organizations as a condition of grant awards. Regional Organization Grants for Fiscal Year 2019-20                                     

The Regional Organization Grant program provides an opportunity for qualified non-profit regional organizations to receive funding from the City. The specific grant allocations are based on the availability of funds as determined through the annual operating budget process. A financial report is submitted by recipient organizations as a condition of grant award.

Community Service Micro-Grant Program for Fiscal Year 2019-20                                     

​The intent of this program is to provide financial assistance to not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organizations electing to establish programs, services, and/or projects that support, advance, or enhance the quality of life and local government service delivery to residents in the City of Virginia Beach. This program establishes initial starter funding for 501(c)(3) organizations interested in partnering with the City for enhanced service delivery. This program realizes an entry level opportunity for 501(c)(3) organizations that do not meet the requirements of the City's Community Organization Grant (COG) program.
