American Music Festival (Labor Day weekend)
The sounds of rock, jazz, country, blues, R&B, and more flood the Virginia Beach oceanfront for three days over Labor Day weekend at the American Music Festival. The largest outdoor music event on the East Coast, the American Music Festival brings together local, regional, and national acts to play on a gigantic 60-foot wide and 60-foot tall stage on the beach at 5th Street, as well as stages in all parks along the beautiful
Virginia Beach oceanfront. Festival goers by the thousands love the appeal of being outdoors on the beach with the Atlantic Ocean providing the perfect background for great live music! Food vendors, beer, and merchandise kiosks enhance the festival atmosphere along the boardwalk. Exclusive VIP passes provide separate entrance to the area right in front of the stage for viewing Friday and Saturday concerts, access to heavy hors d’oeuvres, VIP-only port-a-johns, two free beers or wine, and tickets to both Friday and Saturday concerts. This is the ultimate way for fans to enjoy the concerts!

Boardwalk Art Show & Festival (Father’s Day weekend)
The Boardwalk Art Show & Festival has grown to be one of Virginia Beach and the Commonwealth’s most highly anticipated events. With more than 350,000 visitors and $2 million in art sales annually, the Boardwalk Art Show & Festival is ranked among the top
50 best fine art & design shows in the nation by Sunshine artist magazine. In 2008, prize money for artist awards reached over $30,000. The Virginia Beach Hotel Motel Association Best-in-Show Award of $10,000 remains the second largest best-in-show award in the nation, attracting high-caliber artists and art collectors anxious to find unique, one-of-kind works.

Neptune Festival (Last weekend in September)
Each year Virginia Beach celebrates the end of summer with the Virginia Beach Neptune
Festival. The month-long festivities culminate on Boardwalk Weekend, which is the last weekend in September. Live music, great food, fun and laughter abound as we say farewell to another great sunny season…Virginia Beach style. With so many fun things to see and do, it’s no wonder that Virginia Beach’s Neptune Festival has been voted one of the top 100 festivals in the United States and one of the top 10 on the East Coast.

Patriotic Festival (June)
Each June Virginia Beach remembers the men and women of the U.S. military for their heroism and sacrifices. This event is a tribute to our armed forces personnel and their families. The Patriotic Festival features top-name musical entertainment, military displays and demonstrations. The festival is presented by the City of Virginia Beach, the USO, the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce and produced by Whisper Entertainment.

Pungo Strawberry Festival (Memorial Day weekend)
All the strawberries you can eat prepared in over 50 different ways is the festival highlight, but activities also include a pie-eating contest, several racing car exhibits, one of the largest carnivals on the East Coast, continuous entertainment on four stages, a parade, livestock sale and show, a military display, pig races, youth art show, and some of the most unique arts and crafts exhibited on the East Coast. At the intersection of Princess Anne and Indian River Roads.

Virginia Arts Festival (April-May)
The Virginia Arts Festival is an annual spring festival that brings dozens of performances
to Hampton, Newport News, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Virginia Beach, Williamsburg, and surrounding communities. The festival was established in 1997 and has been bringing world-class artists to Virginia ever since. Every spring, renowned artists from around the world congregate in Hampton Roads to bring world-class music, dance, and theatre performances to the area.
