Uhrin grew up in a Navy family near Lynnhaven Mall, attended Brookwood Elementary and Plaza Junior High School and graduated from Kellam High School in 1986. He attained his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and Finance from ODU. He began his career in the hospitality business as a Groundskeeper for the Schooner Inn Hotel while in high school. He became the Director of Operations for Burlage Management in 1991 and currently oversees the operation of six hotels.
