We offer reasonable accommodations to enable an individual's successful participation in our programs and services. To access this service, complete the section on the registration form that indicates special needs or accommodations; once the registration has been processed, an Inclusion Specialist will call the registrant to obtain additional information.

Inclusion: Minimum requirements

The same minimum requirements that apply to person without a disability also apply to a person with a disability. These include:

• Meeting age and registration requirements of the program
• Following the rules of conduct (with or without reasonable accommodation)
• Voluntary participation: recreation programs are voluntary in nature; participation will be encouraged and aided, but not forced
• Level of participation: with or without reasonable accommodations, participating in scheduled activities for at least 75% of the time
• Ability to use consistent form of communication to indicate basic needs and follow simple directions (communication board, sign language, interpreter, writing, verbal, gestures, computer system, etc.)
• Ability to tolerate and function, with assistance, as a member of a group (10 or more people) depending on the program
