This project is for a study to replace the existing Lesner Bridge with a signature facility, including a bike path that is capable of handling six lanes of traffic in the future.  This project also includes upgrades to the intersections of East Stratford Road and Vista Circle ( the termini for the project), as well as aesthetic upgrades within the project limits.  The initial phase will be an in-depth study to determine ultimate alignment, appearance, impacts, and project needs for the proposed bridge.

Once the study has been adopted by the City Council, state and federal funding will be requested for design and construction of the replacement bridge.

A Citizen Information Meeting was held on Feb. 11, 2009 to review the 30 percent design, and City staff members have met with various stakeholders.
