Residential waste and recycling collection services will be provided as usual on Wednesday, November 11.

The following Virginia Beach facilities will be CLOSED on Wednesday, Nov. 11 in observance of Veterans Day:

• All City of Virginia Beach offices
• All Virginia Beach City Public Schools and administration offices
• All Virginia Beach community recreation centers
• All city parks and park facilities, except for Lynnhaven Boat Ramp and Beach Facility, Woodstock Park and Mount Trashmore Park. The hours of operation will for those facilities, will be from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• All Virginia Beach public libraries
• The Virginia Beach Landfill
• The Virginia Beach Circuit Court, General District Court, Juvenile & Domestic Relations  Courts and Clerk’s Offices, and the Juvenile Court Services Unit (Juvenile Probation & Parole)
• The Chesapeake Bay Center at First Landing State Park
• The Visitor Information Center
• The Virginia Beach Convention Center administrative offices
• The Virginia Beach Public Health Department
• The Francis Land House, Lynnhaven House and Adam Thoroughgood House

The following facilities will be OPEN during the following hours:

• The Virginia Beach Animal Control Bureau will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• All city owned golf courses, including Bow Creek, Kempsville Greens and Red Wing Lake, will be open from dawn to dusk
• Lynnhaven Boat Ramp and Beach Facility, Woodstock Park and Mount Trashmore Park will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Owl Creek Tennis Center (South courts will be open during daylight hours only;
• Pro Shop and restrooms will be closed)
• The Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• The Virginia Beach Farmers Market will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
