Councilmember Glenn Davis has called Virginia Beach home most of his life. He is a graduate of Green Run High School who began a career in telecommunications in the 1990s. He started his own telecommunications management firm in 2001. A year later, his company merged to form Comverge Inc. 

Previously, Councilmember Davis was a legislative aide to then-Del. Frank Wagner and then-Del. Bob McDonnell. He is a Sorensen Fellow from the University of Virginia Political Leadership Program and was accepted into the MIT Entrepreneurial Masters Program, Class of 2010. Councilmember Davis volunteers as a classroom instructor in middle and high schools through Junior Achievement of Greater Hampton Roads, where he serves on the Board of Directors. He is on the steering committee of the Beach Fund and is a member of the Virginia Beach Rotary Club.
