The Virginia Beach Farmers Market features a variety of merchants that are agriculturally inspired shops and related businesses offering seasonal, fresh vegetables and fruit in addition to many other products. We have an organic grocer, butcher shop, dairy store, flower & gift shop, candy and bakery shop, restaurant, nature gifts and specialty gift stores, and a home and garden gift store, offering you an unique and varied shopping experience. Farmer-to-you seasonal produce allow you to experience some of the best the agriculture community has to offer. Most merchants are open from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday - Saturday and Noon - 4:00 p.m. Sunday, please visit our shopping page for individual merchant listings.
Special events are held at the Farmers Market. The events offer family experience of the heritage of agriculture. Friday evenings from May through October from 7:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. 'country or bluegrass' music is featured at the Friday Night Hoedown. The event is free and open to the public, a blanket or chair is recommended. .
Stop by Vendor's Lane and pick up that something special from our year round vendors or visit with one of our daily handmade crafters and Agriculture vendors. Daily and weekly spaces are available for rent at the Market.
Educational programs for students are available and can be scheduled by calling the Market office at 757-385-4395. The programs are held from March-May and September-November, weather permitting. Each program features hands-on experiences that explores our agriculture and rural heritage. The programs are recommended for children in K-2 grades there is a fee of $3.00 per child.
Bus parking is available and picnic tables are scattered throughout the grounds. Restrooms, water fountain, and public phone are available.
