Keeping Citizens Informed and Involved

City Page Online is a strategic communications vehicle providing Virginia Beach residents with information about their city government, the City Council's vision and policy decisions, and implementation of those decisions by city staff. It promotes opportunities for citizen involvement, when possible, to encourage active citizen participation in city government decision-making. It also highlights city-sponsored and city-contracted events.

For nearly a decade, we used City Page to bring you news and information about the City and its services. In an effort to save green and be green, the June 17, 2009 edition of City Page in the Virginian-Pilot was the last issue.

Instead, starting July 15, we will deliver the same news-you-can-use to your computer via an e-mail newsletter and an enhanced, multimedia City Page Online.

 

We will continue to provide you with timely information about programs, events, services and issues. We will spice these with occasional profiles and feature stories about our city and its people. As we move forward, we will incorporate videos, podcasts, photo galleries, graphics and more.  The city also will continue to deliver news on VBTV (Cox Channel 48, Verizon Channel 45 and Cavalier Channel 119).
