Responsibility:
The Office of the City Auditor is an independent appraisal function responsible for financial, attestation and performance audits of City programs, functions and activities. Other responsibilities and services include:

• Oversight and Managment of the City's external audit contract
• Departmental Assistance and Advisory Services
• Investigative Assistance
• Special Projects

The services provided enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of City operations; ensure compliance with Federal, State and local laws and regulations; and maintain an internal control of the framework, reducing the risk of loss to the City.
