Be Safe for Trick-or-Treat Saturday, October 31

Halloween is coming on Saturday, Oct. 31. In Virginia Beach, children age 12 and younger can go door-to-door trick-or-treating from dusk to 8 p.m. Plan ahead and follow a few simple rules to stay safe after dark.

Seeing the beauty of the Lynnhaven River will be easier with the new Birdneck Canoe and Kayak Launch Site opening on Nov. 7. Enjoy the official ribbon cutting at 9 a.m. then a paddle trip up the river.

The annual Tidewater Veterans Day Parade will be held Wednesday, Nov. 11, at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront, starting at 9 a.m.

There’s a double dose of Halloween fun coming to the Town Center plaza on Oct. 31 from noon to 4 p.m.
