The main goal of the Medical Reserve Corps program is to engage volunteers in helping the City prevent, prepare for and respond to disasters, pressing public health needs, and emergencies of all kinds.

The Virginia Beach Medical Reserve Corps is working with the Virginia Beach Medical Society and other community partners to develop this team of health care volunteers.

These volunteers will assist local and existing community emergency medical response systems as well as provide a group of readily trained and available resources.
