You may register to vote if you are a United States citizen, a resident of Virginia, will be 18 years of age by the day of the next General Election, have had your voting rights restored if you have ever been convicted of a felony and have had your capacity restored if you have been declared mentally incapacitated in a Circuit Court.

All polls open at 6:00am and close at 7:00pm on election day.

Effective January 1, 2010 the voter registration deadline is 22 days before the next General or Primary Election as required by Commonwealth law. Residents must register in the precinct in which they reside. Absentee Ballot Applications are available upon request.

It's simple to register to vote by downloading a Voter Registration Application or to Absentee Ballot by downloading an Absentee Ballot Application from this site and mailing it to our office at the address below.

Absentee Voting will be available in the Voter Registrar's Office prior to the next schedule election as required by law. Please be reminded that the deadline by which we must receive  your absentee ballot application requesting your ballot by mail is the Tuesday preceeding the election and the deadline to vote absentee inperson is alway the Saturday preceeding the election.
