The Center for GIS (CGIS) manages the core GIS services. It is a member division in the Department of Communications and Information Technology (ComIT). The primary role is to support City GIS operations and spatial information needs. GIS is a common need distributed across the entire organization; CGIS manages this responsibility by providing the common and core GIS layers and enterprise GIS services to each GIS stakeholder.
