The area is located on the site of the present Lake Shores subdivision. B. W. Shelton, Jr. was a farmer in the Bayside area of Princess Anne County, specializing in truck farming. He was a charter member and officer of the Princess Anne County Cooperative Farm Bureau, Inc., serving as its secretary/treasurer from 1937-1951.
