Virginia Beach is a veritable paradise for people who enjoy being active. Forbes lists our city as one of the best in the nation for outdoor activity and we've been named one of the best places to grow up by U.S. News & World Report.
The city is home to six (soon to be seven) recreation centers that each feature an indoor swimming pool, weight room, workout equipment and gymnasium. Several also have rock-climbing walls, racquetball courts, indoor play grounds and youth game rooms. Best of all, at just $81 annually for an adult membership, the recreation centers are affordable.
