The Virginia Beach Judicial System is comprised of three courts: the Circuit Court, the General District Court and the Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court. The aim of the Virginia Beach Judicial System is to assure that disputes are resolved justly and responsively through a court system unified in its structures and administration and to provide the citizens with the best possible judicial system. Our goal for the web site is to provide information on, and expand the citizens’ access to, the judicial system.
The general public are not allowed to bring cell phones or other personal communication devices in the Judicial Center court building.
Records land records, probate wills, hunting and fishing licenses, notary public applications, marriage licenses, military discharge forms (DD-214), and assumed business names
Jury duty, concealed handgun permits, name changes, felony, civil and divorce programs.
Traffic and criminal citations, civil cases up to $25,000 and online pre-payable citations.
Juveniles and adults involved in disputes concerning support, visitation, parentage or custody of a child, offenses against members of their own family and handles foster care.
Juvenile Intake is considered the first step in the juvenile justice system.
