Avis Budget Group today announced that as part of its ongoing strategic effort to drive efficiency, the company will relocate 17 positions from its headquarters in Parsippany, N.J. and create eight new positions to be based in Avis Budget Group’s Shared Services Center in Virginia Beach, Va.
The jobs involved include senior level insurance, vehicle damage claims and accounting positions. Staff currently occupying these positions will be given the opportunity to relocate, and the 25 positions have an annual average salary of $54,900.
The Virginia Beach Development Authority has awarded Avis Budget Group an Economic Development Investment Program grant in the amount of $50,000 based upon these plans to expand its Virginia Beach workforce.

Located at 300 Centre Pointe Drive, Avis Budget Group has operated its national car and truck rental shared services center in Virginia Beach since 1995.
