If you’ve been inspired to research your roots after watching the hit NBC show, “Who Do You Think You Are?” head to Virginia Beach’s Meyera E. Oberndorf Central Library on Saturday, Sept. 22. From 7 p.m. to midnight, the library will host its 21st Midnight Madness genealogy event. Library staff, along with members of the Virginia Beach Genealogical Society and National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution, Lynn Haven Parish Chapter, will provide genealogy training and tips, whether you’re just beginning your family research or have years of experience.
Virginia Beach Public Library hosts Midnight Madness twice a year, in September and March, and hosts genealogy programs and tours year-round. The library also has online research tools including Ancestry and HeritageQuest, a digital local history collection and more for those researching family history.
