The Virginia Beach Convention Center will host two conferences in October that offer local residents the opportunity to enjoy an oceanfront concert and learn more about environmental sustainability. The conferences are projected to bring nearly 3,600 attendees to the resort area and generate more than3,400 hotel room nights, strengthening the Virginia Beach economy.
From Oct. 9 to 11, the American Wind Energy Association’s Offshore Windpower 2012 Conference and Exhibition will bring together exhibitors and attendees from around the world interested in the new and highly promising offshore wind industry.
From Oct. 14 to 19, OCEANS ’12 MTS/IEEE Hampton Roads will bring together technology, people and ideas to help expand our understanding of the earth’s largest natural resource.
Both conferences invite the community and region to attend various educational and fun events. The following events are free and open to the public.
