Virginia Beach Parks & Recreation and Wave Riding Vehicles (WRV) are pleased to present the 2012 SK8R Bash at Mount Trashmore Skate Park on Saturday, October 20, 2012. Registration starts at 8:00 am, and the event goes until 5:00 pm.
Free and open to the public with onsite parking, the 2012 SK8R Bash is the spot for you to drop in on the action during our annual amateur skateboard competition at the 24,000 square foot Mount Trashmore Skate Park to witness mind-blowing kickflips, boardslides and indy grabs! Enjoy live music, tons of activities and freebies. Event sponsor Checkered Flag Toyota Scion will be on hand, and don’t miss the RedBull® pro skater demo and autograph signing session.
Competitions include battles on the street course, the aboveground seven-foot deep bowl, and the thrilling 14-foot high vert ramp. Deadline for $25 registration is October 5 – space is limited! Event day registration $30, if space is available, will take place between 8:00am - 12:00pm at the Special Events Office located at 300 Edwin Drive at Mount Trashmore Park.
