Construction work will begin Monday, August 27, 2012, to repair and improve drainage and erosion issues surrounding the City Seal area at Mount Trashmore Park.
Construction area will be marked during the term of the project, and the public should use caution when in the area. Construction equipment and support vehicles will be accessing the top of Mount Trashmore to perform the work, but the mountain and park will remain open for public use.
The project is weather-dependent and is expected to last approximately two weeks.
Mount Trashmore Park is located at 310 Edwin Drive, off Independence Boulevard in Virginia Beach. For more information about this renovation, please contact Amy Woodson or Rick Rowe in Parks & Natural Areas at 385-0400.
