Absentee voting enables qualified voters to participate in upcoming elections even though they may not be able to go to the polls on Election Day.
Eligible Virginia registered voters can download an AB application or contact the Voter Registrar’s Office to request an absentee ballot application.
Completed applications can be returned in four ways:

The absentee ballot application, when sent by mail, email or fax, must be received in the Voter Registrar’s Office by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012.
The deadline for absentee voting in person is Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, at 5 p.m. Absentee voting in person begins at least 45 days before most elections. In person absentee balloting will be available at the Voter Registrar’s Office at the Municipal Center, Building 14, starting on Friday, Sept. 21, 2012.
