Saturday, February 18, 2012 · 10:30 am
As of 10:30 a.m. this morning, the Virginia Beach Department of Public Utilities lifted the “boil water” notice issued yesterday for Sandbridge beach community residents. The notice was lifted after water samples collected from the area revealed there were no contaminants present and that the water is in full compliance with all state and federal standards for safe drinking water. The Department advises that the public water supply at Sandbridge is safe to drink and use for all other consumptive purposes.
The Department would like to thank the affected residents for their patience and apologizes for any inconvenience caused by the break.
