The spirit of giving follows us into the new year. With that in mind, the Virginia Beach Convention and Visitors Bureau offers an exciting opportunity to volunteer and to welcome and support the National Forum for Black Public Administrators (NFBPA) FORUM. The Forum will be held at the Virginia Beach Convention Center and throughout various parts of Virginia Beach on Friday, April 20, through Tuesday, April 24.
Since 1984, NFBPA has held an annual conference or FORUM, attracting more than 1,000 African American public officials for an intensive skills-building and professional development program. The conference is recognized throughout the industry as one of the most important training activities available to public administrators. It is widely acclaimed for the intense training opportunities provided and the caliber of national experts and speakers.
Join the team of CVB volunteers. This is an important conference for our community and the region. It’s a chance to significantly impact visitors, build new friendships, have fun and make a difference in your own back yard. Based on individual availability, the CVB convention service’s staff will coordinate hourly shifts and various assignments such as greeting patrons with a warm smile at the airport, hotels and the Convention Center, providing answers to general questions and assisting with motor coach transportation from the hotels to the Convention Center, to create a dynamic team of super hosts.
