Virginia Beach Emergency Medical Services (EMS) at Lynnhaven Mall in Virginia Beach on Saturday, May 14
Thursday, May 05, 2011 · 12:00 pm
May 15 through May 21 is National Emergency Medical Services week. On Saturday, May 14, the Department of Emergency Medical Services will be at the center court of Lynnhaven Mall, displaying equipment and speaking with the public from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Please come by and say “Thank You” to the members of your local volunteer rescue squads.
EMS is more than just an ambulance ride to the hospital. EMS volunteers are highly trained, dedicated people from the community who love their work as pre-hospital care providers. They respond to different kinds of emergencies such as vehicular accidents, marine water rescues, medical emergencies and many other types of injuries. This is a great opportunity to see first-hand what EMS is all about and how you can get involved and help support the volunteer emergency rescue teams throughout the city.
