All City of Virginia Beach offices and facilities will be closed Dec. 25.
Waste/Recycling Collection:
- There will be normal trash and recycling collection on Friday, Dec. 23.
- The City Landfill will be open 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Dec. 23 and 31, but will be closed Dec. 24, 26 and Jan. 2, 2012.
The Virginia Beach Circuit Court, General District Court, Juvenile & Domestic Relations Court, the Juvenile Court Service Unit and clerk’s offices will be closed Dec. 23, 26, 30 and Jan. 2, 2012.
The following City of Virginia Beach facilities will be closed Dec. 23, 24*, 25, 26 Jan. 1 & 2, 2012:
- All City of Virginia Beach offices
- All public libraries
- Chesapeake Bay Center at First Landing State
- Francis Land House, Union Kempsville Museum, Lynnhaven House and Adam Thoroughgood House
- Sandler Center for the Performing Arts (*Open Dec. 24 - 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.)
- Virginia Beach Convention Center administrative offices
- Virginia Beach Public Health Department
- Virginia Beach Recreation Centers, Owl Creek Tennis Center, and staffed City Parks & Facilities (*Close Dec. 24 - 12 noon)
- Visitor Center located on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel
- Visitor Information Center
The following City of Virginia Beach facilities will be open Dec. 31.
- All Virginia Beach Recreation Centers, Owl Creek Tennis Center, and staffed City Parks & Facilities (*Close at 5 p.m.)
- All public libraries
- City Landfill
- Francis Land House, Lynnhaven House and Adam Thoroughgood House
- Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center
- Virginia Beach Animal Care and Adoption Center
- Virginia Beach Farmers Market
- Visitor Information Center and Center on Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel
