Polling Location Changes Name

The polling location for the South Beach Precinct has changed its name. The Contemporary Art Center of Virginia is now called the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art and remains at 2200 Parks Ave.  If you vote in this precinct, you live in the 2nd Congressional District, the 8th State Senate District and the 82nd House of Delegates District.  This name change is effective immediately, beginning with the General and Special Elections on Nov. 8.

Any resident who moves to another address in the city is required by Section 24.2-424 of the Code of Virginia to immediately notify the Voter Registrar’s Office in writing of the new address. The new information must be mailed to the Voter Registrar’s Office, 2449 Princess Anne Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23456.

Any resident who moves to an address in another county or city is require by Section 24.2-425 of the Code of Virginia to apply for transfer of his or her voter registration.  A mail voter registration form for this purpose may be obtained from the office of any general registrar in Virginia, or at any Department of Motor Vehicles office.
