Councilman Dyer to Hold Centerville District Town Hall Meeting on Oct. 24

City Councilman Bob Dyer will host a town hall meeting for residents of the Centerville District on Monday, Oct. 24, 6 to 8 p.m., at Tallwood High School, 1668 Kempsville Road.

Representatives from several city departments will be on hand to answer citizens’ questions about services and programs.

Dyer was recently appointed by Gov. Bob McDonnell to the new Governor’s Task Force for Local Government Mandate Review. The five-member group will review state mandates imposed on localities and will recommend temporary suspension or permanent repeal of some mandates. Dyer helped create and serves on the Virginia Beach Process Improvement Committee, which is exploring ways to make city government more efficient.
