New Voter Information Cards to be Sent to Registered Voters Affected by Redistricting

Voters in districts that have been affected by changes due to redistricting will soon receive new voter information cards.  The City of Virginia Beach Voter Registrar’s Office and the Virginia State Board of Elections will begin sending cards to affected voters this week.  All voters in Virginia Beach needing cards should receive them by the middle of next week.   

If a voter’s information has not changed, such as the polling place or election district, then the voter may not receive a new voter information card. However, many voters without changes will receive a replacement card.

Voters who receive a new voter information card should destroy their old cards.  This new voter information card will replace the voter’s prior card.   For more information about the new voter information card, contact the Voter Registrar’s Office at (757) 385-8683 or visit www.vbgov.com/voter.
