National Energy Star Manager to Speak at Energy Workshop Sept. 28

Jerry Lawson, national manager of Energy Star Program for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, will be the keynote speaker at a workshop Sept. 28 on how to save energy – and dollars.
The energy stewardship workshop, sponsored by the City of Virginia Beach, in partnership with the Virginia Interfaith Center, will be held Wednesday, Sept. 28, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Virginia Beach Convention Center, 1000 19th St.
The workshop will educate residents on energy-saving initiatives and opportunities. It will include valuable information for all facility managers. Topics will include:
- Using Energy Star’s online tools to track your energy
- How to systematically review your facility
- How energy retrofits and utility bill reviews help lower your energy costs
- Residential incentives with Virginia Natural Gas’ EnergySMART program.
