Amazon’s launch yesterday of library lending for its previously proprietary Kindle device means that Virginia Beach Public Library cardholders can now download popular and classic eBooks at no charge, to use on a Kindle, or on any mobile device with the free Kindle app.
In addition to Kindle, Virginia Beach Public Library’s downloadable eBooks and audiobooks can be accessed using a variety of devices, including PC or Mac, iPhone or Android, iPad and eBook readers, including the Barnes & Noble Nook, the Sony Reader and more.
September is an exciting month for Virginia Beach Public Library customers who enjoy downloading media. On Sept. 14, the library announced that cardholders can download songs from the website, free of charge.
