(Virginia Beach, VA) – Construction has been completed at Bayville Farms Park (located at 4132 First Court Road) to make way for a brand new dog park which is now open to the public.
The City now has three dog parks consisting of a one-acre fenced area where dogs can run free from their leashes, but this newest dog park at Bayville Farms Park is the first one to provide separate areas to accommodate both large and small dogs.
Annual onsite registration fee of $15 is required (for the first dog, $10 for each additional dog) to use any dog park, along with proof of license and documented expiration date of dog's rabies vaccination upon registration. Please visit the park office located by the tennis courts to register for the dog park. (A locality license is not required for out-of-town visitors.)
Two other City of Virginia Beach dog parks are located at Red Wing Park at 1398 General Booth Blvd. and Woodstock Park at 5709 Providence Rd.
