Getting fit and staying healthy is more fun than ever with Virginia Beach Parks and Recreation’s group fitness classes. The newest class added to the lineup is LesMills™ CXWORX™, a 30-minute core workout. Try a CXWORX™ class, without cost or membership, at these initial CXWORX™ sessions:
- 10:15 a.m. - 10:45 a.m., Thursday, May 1 at Kempsville Recreation Center, 800 Monmouth Lane;
- 7:30 p.m. - 8 p.m., Thursday, May 1 at Williams Farm Recreation Center, 5252 Learning Circle;
- 10:30 a.m. - 11 a.m., Saturday, May 3 at Great Neck Recreation Center, 2521 Shorehaven Drive; and
- 4:45 p.m. - 5:15 p.m., Monday, May 5 at Bayside Recreation Center, 4500 First Court Road.
Featuring integrated training techniques and resistance tubing for dynamic movements, CXWORX™ hones in on the torso and sling muscles that connect the upper body to the lower body. It’s ideal for tightening the abdominals and glutes, while also improving functional strength and assisting in injury prevention. It is appropriate for all ages and fitness levels.
There’s no need to register in advance for these free CXWORX™ sessions. A Virginia Beach Recreation Center membership is not required, either. Just dress for a workout, show up with a water bottle, and put forth your best effort.
