(Virginia Beach, VA) - It’s been twenty years since Virginia Beach Parks and Recreation opened the doors to Princess Anne Community Recreation Center, and the fun hasn’t stopped! To thank everyone for their continued support and patronage, Princess Anne Community Recreation Center staff have planned twenty free things the whole family will enjoy, including children’s crafts, face painting, facility tours, birthday cake, prizes and more, from 1 PM to 4 PM, Saturday, March 15, 2014. Admission is free; a Virginia Beach recreation center membership is not required.
Princess Anne Community Recreation Center is an 82,000 square foot multi-faceted recreational facility, located at 1400 Nimmo Parkway, off General Booth Boulevard. It opened March 1994 and features
- Cardio equipment, circuit training, and free weights;
- Group fitness classes and personal training;
- Indoor pool with lap lanes and diving board;
- Locker rooms and showers;
- Multipurpose gymnasium, racquetball courts, and sportwall; and
- Youth game room and indoor play structure, adult billiards, and party rooms.
