Bright Smiles Bowl-A-Thon Set for Saturday, April 20

Do you like to have fun and give back to the community at the same time? If so, sign up now for the 2013 Bright Smiles Bowl-A-Thon, a fundraiser to benefit the dental needs of individuals with intellectual disabilities. The Bowl-a-Thon will take place on Saturday, April 20 from 12:30 to 3 p.m. at Pinboys at the Beach, 1577 Laskin Road.
Participation is easy:
* Form a team consisting of 4 people.
* Pre-register by April 5. Complete registration packets can be obtained by calling Kriste Salamon at 385-0582 or online at the Developmental Services home page. Click on Bowl-A-Thon under Related Information.
* Obtain sponsors and raise a minimum of $225 per team in donations.
* Pay $6 per bowler for the games and shoes.
Colored t-shirts are available for $14 and must be preordered and paid for by March 29. Raffle tickets can be purchased during registration or at the event. Prizes will be awarded for the most money raised, best team name, and highest scores. Payment for bowling can be made via cash or check to “Pinboys at the Beach.” Donations should be made payable to “Virginia Beach Community Trust.”
Last year, this annual event raised over $9,000 for the Intellectual Disabilities Dental Fund and helped provide dental care to adult individuals receiving services from the Developmental Services Division of the Human Services Department. Help set a record this year!
