The City of Virginia Beach and LARC are pleased to announce that LARC has complied with the terms of its Exclusive Dealing Agreement with the Virginia Beach Development Authority by having received a commitment to finance the development of the project for the Dome site.
A formal announcement of the project will be made following the completion of the final details associated with the financing commitment, which is anticipated within the next 30 to 45 days.
“I’m delighted that we’ve reached a point where we can begin to execute a plan for the Dome site,” said Virginia Beach Mayor William D. Sessoms, Jr. “This project is extremely important to Virginia Beach and the region, both from an economic standpoint and for enhancing our quality of life.”
“I am excited to bring a unique, family-oriented entertainment center to Virginia Beach that can be enjoyed by citizens and visitors alike,” said LARC President Michael Jenkins.

A high quality, affordable family entertainment center containing over 40 of the latest attractions from around the world, including a 2,500-seat professional theater for Broadway and international theater performances, a regulation ice rink for family skating, hockey and other professional performances. In addition, eight motion picture theaters, a cabaret club and a children’s family forest with significant parking, all contained in over 360,000 square feet of family fun and excitement.
The centerpiece of the attraction will be the largest Ferris wheel on the East Coast with enclosed full conditioned cabins.
