Recreation Centers to Open Later Saturday

Due to the winter storm, city facilities will observe the following schedule tomorrow, Saturday:

• Parks and Recreation Centers: All city parks and recreation centers will open at 10 a.m. – one hour later than usual.

• Winter Wildlife Festival -- Trips before the noon hour are cancelled. The Festival and Expo will begin at 10 a.m. as scheduled at the Princess Anne Community Recreation Center. 

• Libraries: All city libraries will open at the usual time, 10 a.m.

• Aquarium: The Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center will open at the usual Saturday time, 9 a.m.

• Mount Trashmore: Is closed to sledding!

• Visitor Centers:

The main Visitor Information Center at 2100 Parks Ave. at the resort will open at 10 a.m. – one hour later than usual.

The Chesapeake Bay Center in First Landing State Park will be closed Saturday.

The Visitor Information Center on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-tunnel will be closed Saturday.
