Up for a sports challenge? Virginia Beach Recreation Centers have several ways to play in February!

Looking for an outlet for your competitive side? Want to try a new sport? Virginia Beach Parks and Recreation has several ways to enjoy sports in February! Try something new, or just add an extra challenge. 

February 4 • 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm: Winter Wallyball Tournament: Warm up by playing in our first wallyball tournament for adults, ages 18 and up. We will follow a round-robin tournament format with teams of four people. Prizes will be awarded to the highest scoring team. $5 per team; Virginia Beach Parks and Recreation membership required. Great Neck Recreation Center, 2521 Shorehaven Drive.

February 9 • 11:00 am - 2:00 pm: Adult Table Tennis Tournament: Whether you are just learning or play a competitive game, you will have hours of fun in our friendly tournament for ages 18 and up. No cost to participate; Virginia Beach Parks and Recreation membership required. Princess Anne Recreation Center, 1400 Nimmo Parkway.

February 9 • 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm: Archery Demo Day: Ages 6 and up are encouraged to unleash your inner cupid! We’ll provide equipment and basic instruction so you can try to hit a target with a bow and arrow. Those under age 16 must be accompanied by at parent. No cost to participate and no need to register in advance; just show up and have fun. A Virginia Beach Recreation Center membership is not required. Kempsville Recreation Center, 800 Monmouth Lane. February 13 • 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm: Adult Dodgeball Tournament: Get your 5-person team together for this round-robin tournament for adults ages 18 and up. Dodge, dip, dive and duck your way to victory! Register by February 6, $3 per person; Virginia Beach Parks and Recreation membership required. Great Neck Recreation Center, 2500 Shorehaven Drive.

February 15 • 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm: 4-on-4 Teen Basketball Challenge: Put together your own team of teens, ages 13 to 17, to take on the competition for our half-court tournament. There will be a running clock; you’ll make your own calls. Register by February 8; $5 per team; Virginia Beach Parks and Recreation membership required. Princess Anne Recreation Center, 1400 Nimmo Parkway.

February 16 • 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm: Teen Dodgeball Tournament: Enjoy this classic sport in a friendly round robin tournament for teens age 13 to 17. Bring your sweatbands, knee high socks and gym shorts! Register by February 9, $3 per person; Virginia Beach Parks and Recreation membership required. Great Neck Recreation Center, 2521 Shorehaven Drive.

February 18 • 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm: 3-on-3 Teen Basketball Challenge: Show off your basketball skills as you compete in fun 3-on-3 competition with other teens ages 13 to 17. Register by February 11, no cost to participate; Virginia Beach Parks and Recreation membership required. Great Neck Recreation Center, 2521 Shorehaven Drive.

February 21 • 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm: Teen Dodgeball Tournament: Grab your friends between the ages of 12 and 17 and get ready for this intense competition in our fun double elimination tournament. Teams must have six players. $6 per team; Virginia Beach Parks and Recreation membership required. Williams Farm Recreation Center, 5252 Learning Circle.

February 22 • 9:00 am - 10:00 am: Pickleball Demonstration & Workshop: Adults ages 18 and up can advance their pickleball skills with Pickleball Ambassadors from the Chesterfield/Richmond Association. You’ll get instruction and observe demonstration to improve your game. Register by February 8, $5 per person; Virginia Beach Parks and Recreation membership required. Great Neck Recreation Center, 2521 Shorehaven Drive.

February 23 • 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm: Teen Football Blast: This competitive event involves various activities that will challenge the football skills and abilities of teens ages 12 to 17. Please wear your favorite team’s football jersey! No cost to participate; Virginia Beach Parks and Recreation membership required. Williams Farm Recreation Center, 5252 Learning Circle.

February 27 • 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm: Adult Racquetball Tournament: Compete against other adults, ages 18 and up, in this two-day tournament for men and women. Show off your game in one of three levels: experienced, intermediate or novice. Trophies will be awarded for first and second place winners in each level. Register by February 20, $3; Virginia Beach Parks and Recreation membership required. Great Neck Recreation Center, 2521 Shorehaven Drive.
