Enhance the way you look – and improve the way you feel about yourself – through Virginia Beach Parks and Recreation’s Body Transformation classes. These fun classes build your cardiovascular fitness and muscle tone while burning fat, meaning you’ll get a healthier heart AND build a stronger, leaner body. Each Body Transformation class is for individuals age 14 and up, and ideal for all levels of experience and all body types.
There are four different types of Body Transformation classes. Register for the one that best matches your New Year’s resolution and your fitness needs:
Body Transformation ¬-- Cardio Training: Change the way you look and feel in this 4-week course designed to build cardiovascular fitness and burn fat. Get heart healthy and build a strong, lean body while learning the benefits of a cardio workout. It is held 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm, Monday and Wednesday, February 4, 2013 through February 27, 2013 at Great Neck Recreation Center. $55
Body Transformation ¬– Cross Training: Experience a combination of cardio and strength training in each workout, using equipment such as TRX®, kettlebells, boxing and more. This program will help you lose weight and give you the tools to keep it off. Weekly weigh-ins will be given. This class is held 9:30 am to 11:00 am, Saturday, February 9, 2013 through March 30, 2013 at Williams Farm Recreation Center. $55
Body Transformation -- Dance: Change the way you look and feel in this 4-week course designed to burn calories, tone muscles, and gain flexibility. Let loose and build confidence while learning the benefits of dance fitness, as well as proper form, technique, and terminology. You’ll experience many forms of dance, including Zumba®, FuzeCraze™, fusion belly dance, and much more. This program is offered 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm, Tuesday and Thursday, February 5, 2013 through February 28, 2013 at Bayside Recreation Center. $55
Body Transformation – TRX® & Boxing: This special blend of TRX® suspension training, focus mitts and counter punching drills will strengthen tone and condition your entire body. This class is scheduled for 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Thursday, February 7, 2013 through March 28, 2013 at Kempsville Recreation Center. $55
