Bank On Virginia Beach is launching its second series of financial empowerment classes. Starting in November, each class meets once per month for 10 months and covers topics ranging from basic banking and money management to strategies for increasing savings and improving credit scores. Participants will have the option of participating in the Mayor’s Action Challenge for 500 Families Financially Fit for the Future and receiving one on one financial coaching.
Daytime Classes:
• Oceanfront Library, 700 Virginia Beach Blvd.
Meets 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. on 2nd Thursday of each month starting Nov. 8
• Good Samaritan Class -848 Baker Rd.
Meets 12:30 p.m.–2:00 p.m. on 1st Thursday of each month starting Nov 1st.
• Ebenezer Baptist Church – 875 Baker Rd.
Meets 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. on the 2nd Saturday of each month, starting Nov 10th.
Evening Classes:
• Joseph V. Grimstead Sr. Seatack Recreation Center, 141 S Birdneck Rd.
Starts Nov. 6th and meets at 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. the 1st Tuesday of each month
• Enoch Baptist Church, 5641 Herbert Moore Rd.
Starts Nov. 20th and meets from 6:30 p.m. -8:00 p.m. the third Tuesday of each month.
• Tidewater United Church of Christ at 2660 West Neck Rd.
Starts Nov. 27th and meets from 6:30 p.m. -8:00 p.m. the last Tuesday of each month.
