As a thank you to those who have served our country, Virginia Beach Parks and Recreation invites members of the military and their families to enjoy free boat ramp and parking fees at Lynnhaven Boat Ramp & Beach Facility, and free boat ramp fees and kayak/canoe rentals at Munden Point Park on both Sunday, November 11 and Monday, November 12. All Virginia Beach city parks are open both days.
To enjoy this benefit, simply show one of the following at the park facility office:
• Military ID (active duty, dependent, or retired)
• Veterans ID
• DD214
As a reminder, fees for parking and the fishing pier at Little Island Park are not collected during the off-season. Pier fees only apply from April through October; parking fees are charged beginning the Friday of Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day.
