It’s time for Harvest Fair at the Farmers Market

The City of Virginia Beach Department of Agriculture will host the annual Harvest Fair at the Virginia Beach Farmers Market on Saturday, October 13, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Come and see the livestock, poultry and antique tractor displays; take a step back in time by visiting the Rural Heritage Center; enjoy time for make-and-take crafts; wander through a straw maze and try milking “Beachy” the cow in the Fun Barn.  Musical entertainment will be provided by The Dallas Band.  For a small fee, children can enjoy pony rides, inflatable amusements and other activities.  While at the Market, please take time to visit our wonderful vendors and merchants and shop for all of your fall produce and decoration needs.  Kids, ages 3 to 12, can enter the coloring contest.  Youth and adults can enter their favorite recipes for pickles and pumpkins.

The Virginia Beach Farmers Market is located at 3640 Dam Neck Road at the corner of Dam Neck and Princess Anne Roads. Overflow parking is conveniently located at the City’s Public Works facility near the corner of Dam Neck and Rosemont Roads.
