Virginia Aquarium Offers Flower Guild Demonstration

Have you noticed the stunning floral arrangements in both lobbies at the Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center?  Chances are that if you have a love of flowers you did notice them and wondered who created these weekly floral tributes to the sea or the season. To find out who and how those lovely arrangements are made, the public is invited to join the Virginia Aquarium Volunteer Flower Guild for a Floral Demonstration by Kim Whitfield, owner of Flowers at Hilltop, on Tuesday, October 30, at 10 a.m. in the Bay & Ocean Pavilion classroom.

Refreshments will follow the floral demonstration. Flower Guild members will be available for questions about their volunteer efforts and rewards. Nearly 900 volunteers make up the Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center Volunteer League that supports the Aquarium’s programs behind the scenes and on the floors and nature trails of the Aquarium.
