Effective Aug. 3, the speed limit on Shore Drive between North Great Neck Road and the First Landing State Park entrance will be lowered from 45 miles per hour to 35 miles per hour.

Message boards advising motorists will be in place starting tomorrow, Wednesday, July 22.
