Virginia Beach Winter Storm Update
City of Virginia Beach offices and facilities will be open at 10 a.m. tomorrow, Friday, Feb. 27. That includes all parks, recreation centers, libraries and the Virginia Aquarium. City-owned historic homes and the Princess Anne Training School/Union Kempsville Museum will remain closed.
Residential trash and recycle pickups also will resume Friday. Because collections were suspended today, Public Works crews may continue pickups on Saturday and Monday to catch up.
The city will be under an Essential Operating Condition until 8 p.m. tonight. Employees should return to work at 10 a.m. tomorrow under Modified Operating Conditions (liberal leave). Employees should consult their supervisors if they have any questions.
The General District Court is closed Friday, Feb. 27
The Circuiit Court and Clerk's Office will open at 9:30 a.m.
The Juvenile & Domestic Relations Court will open at 10 a.m.
The Office of The Commonwealth's Attorney is closed Feb. 27.
