"A government can be no better than the public opinion which sustains it." ~ Franklin D. Roosevelt
The City of Virginia Beach is embarking on an exciting process to imagine what the city will be like in the year 2063 – when Virginia Beach celebrates its 100th
anniversary.
This vision of the future will be translated into a Sustainability Plan, which will focus on three major areas – environmental stewardship, economic vitality and social responsibility.
Recognizing that participation by those who live and work in Virginia Beach is critical for the development of the Plan, an initial round of public input meetings were held from October to December of 2011.
At each meeting, after a brief presentation, citizens’ comments were carefully recorded. To view these comments, simply click on the related information section of this page.
If you think we did not capture your comments accurately, you may submit your thoughts to eso@vbgov.com. We encourage you to complete the online survey as well.
What is a "word cloud"?
A word cloud is an attractive way of visualizing key ideas.
The word clouds below illustrate the graphical representation of the most frequently used words in the public input meetings. The larger the text is, the more commonly it was used.
