State Senate - 250 signatures of registered voters (within the Senate District)
House of Delegates - 125 signatures of registered voters (within the House District)
City Council - 125 signatures of registered voters
School Board - 125 signatures of registered voters
Constitutional Officers - 125 signatures of registered voters
Advisory Referenda
Signed by a number of qualified voters in Virginia Beach equaling 25% of the number of voters that voted in Virginia Beach at the last General Election (as certified by the city Registrar)
Must be filed with the Clerk of the Circuit Court
A court order must be issued 60 days prior to the date for which a referenda is called
