Construction Specifications

The City of Virginia Beach Standard Specifications for Construction were developed for use by the Department of Public Works and Department of Public Utilities in designing Capital Improvement Program (CIP) projects.

Division I - is part of the project manual distributed for each project and is not available electronically. Division I contains the material necessary for a legally sufficient contract.

Divisions II - VII are amendments to the Virginia Department of Transportation Road and Bridge Specifications, 2002.

Division VIII is amendments to the Virginia Department of Transportation Road and Bridge Standards, 2001.

Mandatory Amendments - This supplemental specification MUST be included by the Architectural & Engineering community in development of project manuals for the City of Virginia Beach.
